This notice explains how Crease handles the photo you choose, face-similarity checks, purchases, rewarded ads, and requests to delete your data.
When you agree to processing and start an edit, Crease receives your selected photo over an encrypted connection. Crease checks the input and result for supported content and compares their faces to help detect unwanted changes. Temporary facial measurements are used for this comparison; we do not create a persistent face profile or use the comparison to identify you by name.
The application processes photos and facial measurements for the current request and does not keep a cloud photo library. We do not use your photos to train models. This is not a promise of immediate deletion throughout the processing infrastructure: service providers have their own retention practices.
Providers may process information in countries other than yours. Review the linked policies before uploading a photo. Only upload a photo of yourself or someone who has permitted this processing.
You can use Crease without an account. If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive the provider’s app-specific user identifier and a verified email address when supplied, including an Apple private relay address if you choose Hide My Email. We use these to operate your account and recover its remaining credit balance on another device. We never combine Apple and Google accounts just because their email addresses match; connecting both requires signing in to your existing Crease account.
We store protected device sessions and encrypted provider authorization credentials so we can check access and revoke it when you delete your account. Your Apple or Google password is never sent to Crease. Your photos remain in the library on your device and do not sync through sign-in.
Account and edit records are retained to operate your installation or signed-in account until you delete its data. Limited purchase-event fingerprints and deletion markers remain to prevent duplicate credit grants or recreation of deleted records. Provider records and operational logs follow their separate retention arrangements.
When ad-supported generation is available, you can choose to complete one video for one generation or use a paid pack to skip ads. Free, unlimited TestFlight access does not request ads. Google AdMob and its User Messaging Platform provide ads and regional privacy choices. Ad requests may include IP address (which can indicate approximate location), device and app information, ad interactions, and diagnostic information. We request non-personalized ads, disable the publisher first-party identifier, and do not request Apple's cross-app tracking permission. See Google's privacy policy.
Crease sends AdMob a random, one-use reward reference, not your editing photo, email, or Crease account identifier. Google's signed callback lets our server credit one generation. We keep unused rewards with your account; failed generations return their reward. Pending ad references expire after one hour and are removed after seven additional days. Anonymous transaction fingerprints remain to prevent duplicate grants. Where required, use Account → Ad privacy choices to update your choices. If an ad is unavailable or not completed, it does not unlock a generation.
If you contact support, we receive the information you choose to send.
Finished edits are stored in the app's library on your device. Images exported to Photos, shared with others, or included in your own backups are separate copies.
Open Library → Delete all my data to erase the local library and request deletion of linked server records. The server request needs an internet connection and waits for any active edit to finish. If it cannot complete, the app keeps the request pending so you can retry. If you are signed in, deletion also revokes linked Apple and Google authorizations and deletes your Crease account and its remaining credits. Otherwise, it deletes this installation’s records and remaining credits. Deletion cannot be undone. Other devices’ local photos and independently retained provider records are not removed by this request.
Deleting data or uninstalling the app does not cancel a store subscription, remove exported photos, or delete records held independently by Apple, Google, or RevenueCat. Manage subscriptions through the store where you purchased them. Store restoration may recover eligible subscriptions; consumed credit-pack transactions are not recoverable through store restoration alone.
You can decline before the first upload or stop making edits at any time. Contact hello@trycrease.com for access, correction, deletion, or other privacy requests. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to portability, restriction, objection, withdrawal of consent, and a complaint to your data-protection authority.
Crease is not designed for children under 13. Do not upload photos of children under 13. Young users must have any parental permission required where they live. Sexual content, exploitation, and non-consensual edits are prohibited.
